[PAW] Choo-Choo!!

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Woha, this one is late. I didn’t see anything pic-worthy for a while, and while arriving to work on Monday morning,  I saw this old train engine on the bridge. I hadn’t seen it before, so I guess it arrived there during the weekend?

Anyway, who cares. Now there is a train engine in my office’s street. Cool.

And at least, while taking the picture, I found another pic-worthy item for next week, so next one shouldn’t be late!

[PAW] Up there it might be better

Monday, March 21st, 2011

Ok, I’m cheating a bit on this one since I took the picture the previous week, but this is my blog, I set the rules.

So what is this? This is what you would see if you were standing on the rooftop of my office building. There is a bunch of nice skyscrapers, maybe not as tall as the American or Japanese ones, but still OK.

The view is OK, it becomes a bit better when sunny, but as everyone knows, sun is quite rare in this small country of ours.

Finally, what’s the link with the title? Nothing special. I just went up there to cool down after basically being told “You know, we don’t give a fuck about you, your opinion, or anything you may want to say. You are just another tool for us. ” by one of the  big guys at work. I don’t usually need to do that, since I believe I’m quite a calm person, but that day it was either going up there or beating the crap out of that guy. I guess I deserved these 20 minutes of breathing.

[PAW] A biker’s shadow

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Well, this is once again what happens when I have nothing interesting to say or take a pic of.

Simple pic a week, that’s my shadow, while riding to the office early in the morning, nothing more.

See you next week.

[PAW] Good morning Eurojam

Traffic jam towards the Eurozone

Traffic jam towards the Eurozone

Here is a picture that shows up about every morning as I go to work. I’m riding my bike between cars blocked in the usual traffic jam around the European area.

You can see the Berlaymont building on the right, where most of the European junk is decided, and on the left, the usual traffic jam, made of people trying to reach the European buildings in the area.

I still can’t understand why these guys keep driving their SUVs to work, without even sharing cars. They see the bunch of bicycles riding past them every day, the motorcycles, even the pedestrians are faster! Still, the jams are always there, with the same huge SUV’s with just one person inside.

C’mon guys, do some sports, get a bicycle, or at least get a motorbike, they aren’t that expensive (and you bought a BMW X6 anyway), you’ll gain about 1h per day.

Ok, one last info then, this is the first post I type from the phone itself, so the format may suck a bit…

p.s. the phone-formatted post did suck indeed so I had to review it from my computer once back home.
