[PAW] Ad oldies

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Ow crap, it’s Tuesday!

See what happens when you take a week off? Monday comes, and it just looks like another Saturday, and Tuesday looks like another Saturday too, ’till the real Saturday comes, since… there is no working tomorrow, ow-yeah! But of course, since I didn’t see Monday coming, there was no pic uploaded. My bad.

Well, the pics were indeed taken on time, when I went down at midday to get lunch with a few colleagues. I saw that orange bike-car-thing and told my colleagues “hey, can you move aside? I need a pic of that bike for my blog”, to which my colleague answered “which bike? “. I thought it was quite obvious, since it’s flashing orange etc, but he just didn’t see it.

We just walked a bit more, and there was that green bus. End of story.

I guess that there will be quite some other pics taken from events at work, since it’s kinda an exhibition center, so stuff happens quite often.

See you next week!

[PAW] The geek is thirsty

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Welcome to my fridge. You have the usual “try to eat and drink healthy”stuff, and then… Geek-cans!

Don’t ask me where I got these, I don’t have a clue. My wife (always thinking about her favorite geek) saw these and knew I’d love to try them. She was right ;)

The PacMan one is already gone, and it tastes a bit like RedBull. The other one seems to be a derivative of OpenCola or FreeCola (Don’t remember the real name), I’ll give it a try one of these days.

Well, that’s it for this week. See you next time!

[PAW] When tuning goes wrong

Monday, April 4th, 2011

After taking the pictures from the train (see the previous PAW), I parked the bike in the lot below the office. I was about to take the stairs up to my place, when I saw this… thing.

It may look nice if you see it from far away, but then I moved closer. Basically, that car is what happens when you give a high amount of money to someone without taste at all, and tell him/her to tune a car with it.

The thing is … I don’t know, it’s not really ugly, it’s just so full of clichés, like the back wheels which are about 1m high (they go to about the same height as my belt), the cristals that are used as gear shift, radio buttons, everything, the kind of leather thing that covers the seats and the inside of the car, and the insane size of the whole enchilada.

I just have one thing to say: DO NOT WANT. Should I have the amount of money its owner has spent on that, I guess I’d just get a Yamaha YZF-R6 instead, a small city car, and spend the rest on music gear (what, are you surprised? ).

See you next week!
